What we should do with Outsiders?

Have you ever felt like an outsider? I know I have no matter what the situation is if you are the new person in the group, or even if you are in a foreign country there will be people who just make you feel unwanted, or uneasy. So in saying this does that make us want to treat people that way, I know we say no we do not try to be that way to others. Ok I will use the example of church since this has Bible scripture with it, but we should do this no matter where we are at. You have  two visitor’s come in to church, one is well dressed and he comes in and sits next to you. Most likely you will talk with him and ask them their name and maybe tell them your name so on and so forth and you try to make them feel welcome.

The second person comes in and maybe there not very well dressed, or maybe a different nationality, looks rough around the edges, so on and so forth. They come in and set next to you, this makes you feel uneasy so you might smile at them and then fake it like you saw someone you wanted to talk to so you move over there and set. Now just think if that was you how would you feel if someone did that to you. Well this happens everywhere you go and we as a follower of Jesus Christ should show brotherly love to everyone no matter what they look like or even smell like, for God made each one of us and He did not make any junk. I know there are bad people in our world who will and does take advantage of other people, but just stop and think maybe just maybe if we treat that person like one of Gods children it might be just what it would take to turn that person around, and if we are in constant prayer with our Farther He will give us the words to say.

Colossians 4:5-6 NIV

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Always Be Joyful

I had a friend paste these verses on Facebook and it got me to thinking as I read them over again. I have read these passages before many different times and this is the first time that this thought come to me. I have nurses and doctors say that christens just do not seem to be afraid when they our sick and are dying. Over the past year I have had several of my friends and family loose loved one to that old decease cancer. Every one of them has been up beat up to the very end even with the pain the treatments and all that goes along with it. Now I am not saying that they were not sad and that they did not have times when they would get upset and cry, but it really was not about them so much as it was for their spouses or their children, but they knew that when the time came that they would be in the arms of Jesus and not have any more pain. I went to visit a man who lost his wife of course he was sad but he was also relived that is sweet wife was not suffering anymore and that he will see her again when his time comes.

I know another man whose wife has cancer but she always has a smile on her face and to this day if you ask her how she is doing she will say let me tell you what my God is doing for me today and thin she will tell you about Jesus and what you can do to have the same peace.

Philippians 4:4-9

Always be joyful in the Lord! I’ll say it again: Be joyful! Let everyone know how considerate you are. The Lord is near. Never worry about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks. Then God’s peace, which goes beyond anything we can imagine, will guard your thoughts and emotions through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, keep your thoughts on whatever is right or deserves praise: things that are true, honorable, fair, pure, acceptable, or commendable. Practice what you’ve learned and received from me, what you heard and saw me do. Then the God who gives this peace will be with you

God’s Promise and His Warning.

Elevation (top) and floorplan (bottom) of Solo...

Elevation (top) and floorplan (bottom) of Solomon’s Temple. The hekhal is labelled, “Holy Place”. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

My prayer is that this will help you to understand what needs to be done in our lives to get our world back in a better place to live, and to do what this scripture tells us to do.

This is found in 2nd Chronicles 7:11-22. I have heard people say well this was back in the Old Testament days and it does not apply to us today. My response is the Bible is God’s word to us and the last time I opened my Bible it had the Old and New testaments in it, everything in the Bible is true and is God’s Word and we need to read it ask God to help us understand it and then apply it to our daily living. Yes we our living under the new covenant which is Jesus Christ but the Old covenant can teach us a lot.

King Solomon finished building the House of the Lord. God appeared to Solomon and told him that He had heard Solomon’s prayer and that He had chosen this as a house of sacrifice. In the Old Testament days the people had to bring their sacrifice to the temple and have the Hi priest go in and use the sacrifice to get forgiveness for their sins once a year. Since Jesus died on that cross for our sins, He is our sacrifice and because He arose that third day we can go straight to God any time 24-7-365 days and talk with or ask Him anything.

And if He has caused or land to dry up, causes extreme temperatures changes, or bad storms, or if He has bugs or diseases to ruin our crops, or us to get viruses. Which I feel we are having these problems worse than ever now. His promise is if we who are called by His name will humble our self’s seeking Him and praying to Him and turn from our wicked ways [In other words ask forgiveness and turn from worshiping other gods like, sex, money, other worldly possessions, love each other instead of killing each other.] then He will hear us and forgive us and heal us and our land.

His warning is we as Americans need to stop trying to take Him out of everything and for the world and us to put Him back as number one in our lives or He will continue to let us destroy our self’s. God is a loving God but just as your earthly farther has to let you make your own choice our Heavenly Farther lets us also, it is called free will. If God made us love Him and made us do the right things then we would be robots so that is why we have the choice to accept Him or not. But also like or earthly farther punishes us when we do wrong out of love, our Heavenly Farther does it out of love and He wants what is best for us.

God’s Promise and Warning 2nd Chronicles 7:11-22

11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s palace, and successfully completed all that he had planned on doing in the house of the Lord and in his palace.

12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, “I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. 17 As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My ordinances, 18 then I will establish your royal throne as I covenanted with your father David, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to be ruler in Israel.’

God please hear my prayer

How many times have you prayed to God asking him to heal someone who is sick, hurting, or even dying? I was reading in Matthew chapter 9 where a man came to Jesus and told Him that his daughter had died and would He come and lay His hand on her so that she would live. Jesus went to her and took her hand and she came back to life. This is found in Matthew 9:18,23-25 18 While He was saying these things to them, a synagogue official came and bowed down before Him, and said, “My daughter has just died; but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live.”

23 When Jesus came into the official’s house, and saw the flute-players and the crowd in noisy disorder, 24 He said, “Leave; for the girl has not died, but is asleep.” And they began laughing at Him. 25 But when the crowd had been sent out, He entered and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.

I do not know how many times I have heard people say that they did not understand why God did not here there prayers, for they believe in Him, and they prayed with laying on of hands, but God just let them die. They would say well we must not have enough faith so God would not listen to them, or God is an unjust God he made this happen, and some say that they will never believe in Him again. All I can say to these people is that God is a loving God and He hears our prayers and He answers or Prayers but it may not be the answer we want to hear. When I think of God answering or prayers, I think of three different ways. 1. He just heals them, 2. He gives the doctors the wisdom to heal them, and 3. He takes them home to be with Him, I feel this would be the ultimate healing, but we as humans do not want this answer for we want the love one to stay with us. We cannot see the whole picture like God can so we do not understand so here again I say keep with the faith loving God and let Him lead us till we are home with Him.

Do we live by Faith?

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 NASB

I was just setting here wondering about faith; I have heard it said that we must have faith that God is who He says He is. What does it mean to live by faith? I have had people say to me that they cannot believe in God because they cannot see him so how can we possibly have faith in him. So I try to explain it this way, can you see the air you breathe? And they would say no and I would say yet you have faith that it is there for you to breath and stay alive. Or let’s say you or driving a car on a highway and it is pitch black out, you are in a place you have never been before but yet you drive down that highway having faith that it will take you to your destination.

So by faith when I read Gods word and in believing in Him and His Son Jesus who died and arose again on that third day that when I die I will be with Him in Heaven just as He told us. My prayer and hope is that all in this world that we live in would read His Holy Word and then have the faith that God is who He says He is and will believe in Him. May God bless you all?

You know God loves us

Every time I see a nest I think about how Jesus told his followers that yes the foxes and the birds have homes to go to but that on earth he had no place to call home. We are so blessed to live in a country where we can worship God and His Son without fear of being persecuted or worse put to death. You know I do not know why I got off on that subject when my first thoughts were how God takes care of us just like he does the birds for they have no p1080963 p1080964worries and God feeds them clothes them and gives them the knowledge to build nest, even though they don’t have hands or fingers they build a nest that will survive storms and high winds.

Matthew 8:20

Jesus *said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

Luke 9:58

And Jesus said to him, “The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.”

The Second Coming of Christ Limb

The Eternal Glory of Christ

His Glorified appearance

Revelations 1:13-16 13 and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash. 14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. 15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters. 16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword; and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.

Exalted to be King of Kings

Ephesians 1:20,21 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Revelations 5:11-14;19:16 11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.” 13 And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.” 14 And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.

16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Receiving universal worship

Philippians 2:10 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

1 Peter 3:22 22 who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.

We have reached the very top of the tree of Jesus Life. I hope you have enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you. May our risen Lord bless you daily and if you have not accepted Him as your savior my prayer is that you will not wait too long but except Him now.

The Second Coming of Christ Limb

The time unknown

Matthew 24:36 36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

Luke 12:40 40 You too, be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not expect.”

1 Thessalonians 5:2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.

2 Peter 3:10 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

Imminent

Philippians 4:5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.

Revelation 3:11 11 I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one will take your crown.

Will be sudden and unexpected

Matthew 24:37-44 37 For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah38 For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and they did notunderstand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; onewill be taken and one will be left.

Be Ready for His Coming

42 “Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. 43 But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. 44 For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

Luke 17:26-32 26 And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; 29 but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day, the one who is on the housetop and whose goods are in the house must not go down to take them out; and likewise the one who is in the field must not turn back.32 Remember Lot’s wife.

Revelation 16:15 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is the one who stays awake and keeps his clothes, so that he will not walk about naked and men will not see his shame.”)

For the saints

John 14:3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Colossian 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

As King

Revelations 20:6 Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

As judge of the world

Matthew 25:31-46 31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.32 All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’ 41 “Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’ 44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’ 45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’ 46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

2 Timothy 4:1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His kingdom:

The Vision of Christ Limb

Stephen’s vision

Acts 7:55-56 55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, he gazed intently into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God56 and he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened up and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

Paul’s Vision

Acts 26:13-15  13 at midday, O King, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining all around me and those who were journeying with me. 14 And when we had all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in theHebrew dialect, ‘Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? It is hard for you to kick against the goads.’ 15 And I said, ‘Who are You, Lord?’ And the Lord said, ‘I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.

John’s vision

Revelation 1:12-16 12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands; 13 and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one like a son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest with a golden sash.

John 15:26,16:7 26 “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me,

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.

Jesus ascends

Mark 16:19-20 19 So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them, and confirmed the word by the signs that followed.] [And they promptly reported all these instructions to Peter and his companions. And after that, Jesus Himself sent out through them from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation.]

Luke 24:50-53 50 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple [a]praising God.

Acts 1:4-9 Gathering them together, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father had promised, “Which,” He said, “you heard of from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” So when they had come together, they were asking Him, saying, “Lord, is it at this time You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority; but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”
